Treble Clef Choir was formed in 1989. The choir is not a registered charity but is organised in a very similar way. We have a small committee which is made up of volunteers and is responsible for the day to day management of the choir.
There are four sections to the choir – 1st Soprano, 2nd Soprano, 1st Alto and 2nd Alto. Each section has a Section Representative who supports new members and keeps everyone informed of rehearsals schedules and new events. If you want to know more about where we are based, how to join, our fees and rehearsal times then see our ‘Info’ page.
We are very privileged to have the actress Nerys Hughes as our patron. Nerys, who attends many of our events, is known for her television role in the BBC series The Liver Birds and is seen in the following photograph taken at one of our Christmas concerts.
We sing a range of music including classical, musical theatre, jazz, gospel , and contemporary pieces. We have also performed in a wide range of venues e.g. Brooklands shopping centre, Care Homes, RHS Wisley and the state rooms at Hampton Court Palace.
Our annual trip to Beaconsfield Festival of Choirs took place on March 3rd, where we joined with other choirs participating in one of the many concerts. Twenty-five members of the choir travelled together on a coach and enjoyed singing, meeting and listening to other choirs. Here is a photograph of the choir performing in the beautiful St Mary’s Church, Beaconsfield
