Welcome to Treble Clef Ladies’ Choir
Treble Clef Choir is a four part harmony, ladies, community choir. We perform a range of different styles of music including classical pieces, musical theatre, gospel, folk and contemporary music.
There are around 40 of us and we all love to sing. To watch us and hear us sing ‘Electricity’ – L. Hall & E.John Arr. C. McLeish at our Spring Concert held at St Peter’s Church Hersham, please click here.
We rehearse every Monday evening at 7.30pm in the main hall of the St James Parish Centre, Weybridge KT13 8DF. We are conducted by our Musical Director Emily Leather and accompanied by Hannah Stanley. We hold regular ‘Come and Sing’ events for prospective members to come along and sing with us. If you missed the last event you are always welcome to join our Monday rehearsals from 7.30pm – 9.30pm, or come along to our next ‘Come and Sing’ evening on Monday 18th September at 7.30pm.
We perform several times a year and have sung at many prestigious venues, including Hampton Court Palace, Wisley Gardens, Royal Holloway College, Royal Albert Hall and Rochester and Winchester cathedrals. We are also very keen to raise money for worthwhile causes and have raised money for many local charities.
During lockdown we had fun making a remote video of “It Don’t Mean a Thing”. Music by Duke Ellington, lyrics by Irving Mills and arranged by Mac Huff.
Many thanks to our acting MD Lesley Paterson, our accompanist Hannah Stanley and Jamie Bland for editing the audio and video. Please click on the Youtube link and enjoy!
